"Down2Earth Electricians have now completed two jobs at our home over the past year; the first a complex project lasting several days, the second (today) lasting a few hours.

 

The scope of the work for the first job began originally with the placement of a new fuseboard; as the work went on, however, it soon became clear that the wiring in our house, some of it generations old, needed a drastic overhaul. Appliances were connected to the wrong circuit, a power shower was running off a lighting circuit, and years of DIY electrical work from previous owners meant that our house was a potential death trap. As the list of work grew longer, so did the requirements of the job, with cables having to be chased through walls and under floors. The second job consisted of activating a couple of 'dead' lights and making good some other poor cabling; the groundwork for the first job allowed the second to be done in a few hours.

 

Both jobs, though different in scope, were handled with consummate professionalism by Steve and his colleagues. Additional work was always explained fully and never charged for in full, as they wished to stick to the original quotation as much as possible. They invariably turned up at 5 minutes to the appointed time and pressed on throughout their time on the property at an impressive pace; it was all we could do to get them to accept a cup of tea.
